PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Western Kentucky University's Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center and Music Rehearsal Hall in Bowling Green, KY, is a 26,000 sqft, 3-story music rehearsal hall built to house the University’s band, orchestra and choral groups. It is comprised of faculty offices, 3 performance music libraries, 2 multiple story rehearsal halls and recording studios, a second floor mezzanine and a 3-story atrium.

 

The building was planned for and later certified as LEED Silver. It includes a stormwater management system, rainwater harvesting and irrigation system, and special plumbing features to increase water efficiency. Over 75% of the construction waste was recycled.
